Chief and Aubrey are at a crossroads in their relationship. They’re on two different paths and can’t seem to come together. The commander-in-chief of the streets, Chief doesn't see himself being the king forever, he has a dream to one day own a chain of exclusive sneakers stores across the world.

While his dream is becoming a reality, he’s at his wit’s end with his relationship of four years. Aubrey feels she’s doing and being what she was meant to be, and that is the plug’s wife. She’s happy with being the princess of the hood and wifey to the man who rules the mean streets of Newark with a chopper and his brother, Lucci, by his side. Coming from a family that’s caked up all off the strength and hustle of the streets, Aubrey was groomed to be hood royalty. However, the imperfections she’s dealing with ultimately leaves only herself to blame for the position she’s forced to play.

Chief is making every effort to try and inspire the woman he’s given his heart to, but every opportunity he presents her with, she shows no interest in. Tired of trying, he checks out of the relationship, but familiarity keeps him until he comes to the aid of a damsel in distress and she gains a permanent place in his mind without even trying.

Preppy uniform, private school, luxury cars, and a huge house to call home, Freedom wasn’t a stranger to the good life, but one night changes everything she was once familiar with. When the FBI comes knocking, she learns her father wasn’t who she and her mother assumed he was, causing them to flee the city they’d come to love with just the clothes on their back and her dog, Princess, in her arms.

The Afrocentric, goal oriented, peaceful soul, straight from the Hollywood Hills enters the mean streets of Jersey with an optimistic attitude, but the Garden State gives her a rude awakening her first couple weeks in the city. New girl, new school, Freedom wasn’t so naive to the point she expected to receive a roll of the eye or to be a loner for a few weeks, but on sight, Rain makes Free a target to dump all her pettiness on.

Freedom provides Chief with all things anew. It’s like she was created especially for him and him for her. Once their feelings are out in the open, nothing and no one will get in the way, including their families.
