Alex Sparks has survived Afghanistan, combat and war zones but one slip of a girl threatens to destroy him, or at least his peace of mind.

Jayme Mason is a beautiful, headstrong spitfire who loves taking chances. She is also the apple of her over-protective uncle Kalvin's eyes. He warned his friends away from her, promised a slow painful death to anyone who even thought about touching her.

Alex knows there will be hell to pay to have her but some things are worth the risk. Jayme was warned to stay away from him but there's something about Alex that makes her reckless, taking risks to catch his eye.

They say the road to hell is paved with good intentions and they are right. Jayme risked it all for a man whose heart has been taken and broke by a woman before.

Just as Alex decides to love again his past comes back and threatens to destroy it all.
