Livvy: Destiny of a Shield Maiden

It's the late ninth-century, and the kingdoms of modern day Scandinavia are rising to power. To escape the brutal conquests of a powerful chieftain, a clan fled to Iceland. After years of battle training, they are ready to sail home to Norseland and face their enemy.

Seventeen-year-old Livvy, who lives alone with her young brother, has learned to survive the harsh climate and in a society ruled by the upper-class Jarls. Working as a blacksmith’s apprentice, and with the help of a Saxon monk, she is saving her earnings for the chance of a new start in Norseland.

But when tragedy strikes the hamlet, Livvy’s life is thrown into turmoil. Racing against time, she must go on a seemingly impossible quest if she is to save all that is dear to her. Conflicted by love and war, Livvy’s actions will not only shape her destiny but that of kingdoms everywhere.
