Sarah's Struggle: A Sweet Amish Love Journey by Rose Jenster
Sarah is invited to live at the home of Emma and Levi Miller in order to help them with their new infant son, cooking and household chores. She has taken on the role of taking care of others as she see it as her purpose in life due to being too old to be attractive to the men in the Amish Community in Wilkes County. Sarah is happy to help her cousin Emma, though wishes her fate wasn't to be an old maid. Emma has been overwhelmed by her responsibilities after giving birth to her first child and having a very difficult time with chores and moods.

Sarah is admired in the Amish Community for her ability to care for the sick, cook proficiently and for being an example of faith, humility and hard work. She hides from others her aloneness and throws herself into serving others.

Aaron Troyer moves to the nearby farm which he inherited from his uncle. He and Sarah develop a strong friendship. He is invited frequently to dinners in Wilkes County by families that view him as the perfect match for their young daughters. Sarah develops feelings for Aaron, but knows he regards her just as a friend. She has never been able to feel close to a man before and have in-depth talks. It pains her to think about her inevitable future as a spinster. Sarah fights her depression through faith and prays that she can serve other with humbleness to alleviate their burdens. Does Sarah find her own Amish love miracle story?
