Fergus is the 33rd ghost to leave Culloden Moor for a brief taste of mortality. The wee witch has told him he must do one heroic act to move on to what comes next, and he is prepared to do just that, anything to end the tediously unending life he now endures as a ghost.

He has two days at the most, but he can’t find any heroic deed which needs performing, anyone who needs rescuing. Time is running out, and he doesn’t know what to do.

Casey Cole brings her sister, Sarah, to Scotland to mend the growing rift between them. Although Casey is ill and delaying treatment, she cannot break her promise to Sarah.

Two sad souls meet on the moor of Culloden, but Fergus can’t see what is just in front of him, and Casey has no idea that she needs help.
