Out of the Amish Fire
“No! I won’t do it!” The young man yelled as he began storming out of the house. “You’re not my father and you can’t make me do anything! I hate you!” He slammed the door and was halfway down the street before anyone could stop him.
Jessie Wegler’s heart squeezed at the sight. The young man was her husband’s youngest brother, John. Jessie’s husband, Abraham, was at his wit’s end on what to do, and Jessie could tell. This particular argument was about if John could go out with friends or not. Jessie had finally had enough of their bickering and put her own foot down… only to have it blow up in their faces.
Abraham let out a heavy sigh. “I’m sorry, Jessie. I tried everything.”
A young Amish woman struggles to find healing for her family ever since a fire ripped their community apart, leaving several people dead. Her husband blames her side of the family and has been given her the cold shoulder ever since. She begins to question his love for her as her family struggles to deal with the tragedy and loss. Will they be able to find peace and bring happiness back into their lives?
