Amish Christmas Joy: Inspirational Clean Amish Romance by Emma Cartwright
Jonah King lives a solitary life and, for the most part, is content, or so he tells himself. However, just two weeks before Christmas, he becomes a father figure to his sister’s five children.
The overwhelming nature of the task makes him wonder about God’s plan for his life. He has little understanding of how to be a parent, let alone a single father to five children ages six to fifteen. He despairs of knowing what to do with them. Each one is so different and so needy, but then his kind neighbor comes to the rescue.

Shy and plump, Ellie Beachey has resigned herself to being her parents’ caretaker as they age. Love has passed her by, but she refuses to be bitter. Life is flat, and each day runs into the next day, but she tries to keep herself busy and thankful for what she has. Then Jonah King needs her help. Cooking, cleaning and generally taking care of her childhood friend’s precious children fills her heart to bursting. Now, Ellie has a purpose. But what has God planned for her and Jonah?

Although she has never been particularly drawn to the somber man, he seems like a new person with five children suddenly thrust upon him. She can’t be sure if it’s anxiety or joy, but Jonah is a man transformed.

Suddenly finding herself attracted to him and thrilled to be giving care to the children, Ellie discovers that God has an exciting plan for her life after all.

Even though they had both given up on ever having a family of their own, Jonah and Ellie discover that God is giving them exactly what they needed, just in time for Christmas.
