Sullivan by Linda Winstead Jones, Linda Devlin
Eden Rourke bravely makes her way toward Rock Creek, Texas, determined to join the only family she has left. Her brother, Jed. As she’s making her way through a small town she finds herself rescuing a man who’s badly outnumbered and being beaten by ruffians. She could pass by, ignoring a situation that is clearly none of her business, but Eden has never been very good at passing by when someone is in need. When the man she rescues turns out to be a good friend of her brother’s, she knows it wasn’t coincidence, but fate, that caused their paths to cross.

Sinclair Sullivan wants only to head back into the town where he was ambushed to claim his hat and deliver a dose of payback, but he knows he can’t leave Jed’s sister to fend for herself. She and the two young kids she’s taken in have no business traveling in rough country on their own. What kind of friend would he be if he let her continue on unguarded? He’ll watch over the pretty blonde and see her safely to Rock Creek, and then she’ll be Jed’s problem.

But Eden is harder to leave than Sullivan ever suspected, and even in tough, dry Rock Creek, you never know where an unexpected love will take hold and bloom.
