Based on the classic novel by Jane Austen, a story that asks what would have happened if Elizabeth Bennet arrived in Hunsford…engaged?

Elizabeth Bennet has no wish to marry her distant cousin, Mr. Collins, but she also knows her family’s plight is dire, indeed. Jane’s romance with Mr. Bingley was cut short, and their father will not live forever. The best she can hope for is to delay the inevitable, and so she and her father convince Mr. Collins that she needs a bit more time with her family before she weds. In hopes of showing her what a fine life she might have with him, he invites Elizabeth and some of her family to visit him at his parsonage near the seat of his patroness, Lady Catherine deBourgh of Rosings Park.

Thither also comes Mr. Darcy, who, despite his best efforts, cannot get Elizabeth out of his mind. He hopes that seeing her with her foolish fiance will finally cure him of his passing fancy, but the opposite happens, and he realizes he cannot let another man stand…
