Divine Illusions: Spells of Surrender Book One by Alix Sharpe
Keira Clearwater never wanted to be an accountant, not when there’s magic to be had. So, she dropped out of college, crossed The Veil, and enlisted in The Realm’s Army, joining the fight to defend Earth against the dark menace threatening to break through.

The only problem is, upon arrival Keira gets classed as a Diviner. Of the three types of wizards, her kind are the rarest, and the lamest. Her gift of Sight isn’t even real battle magic! No wonder the flame-wielding Salamanders and spell-casting Mages want nothing to do with her. Her distractingly gorgeous mentor, Hale Draven, is no exception.

Hale is a skilled, experienced Mage and a hardened soldier, training a weak, little Diviner wasn’t exactly high on his list of priorities. Well, not until Keira had that tide-changing vision and he had to change his mind.

Luckily Keira turns out to be a quick study, and a lot stronger than she looks. In fact, her only weakness seems to be Hale Draven. That and the unwelcome visions threatening to tear her apart. Can Hale truly help Keira or is everything he offers simply one big illusion?
