Pages from a romance novel give us proof that love shines bright, forgiveness prevails, and the soul dreams of a new day. The words give a cadence matching the heartbeat of two souls, falling into or leaving love. Only in those fictional scribble of words does one find the perfect answer. At the end of the day, within real life, the person you love is either there or is not, or one has perhaps settled. A decision made by the mind rather than the heart and soul. The worst thing is to know too late and the chance of the fairy tale be gone.
Bryce Chambers, works for Wainwright and Associates. A winning team in Lake Charles, Louisiana. A firm that doesn't take offers, they go to trial and win every time. Bryce a middle aged lawyer is in somewhat of a rut after his brothers death and recent divorce. A true renaissance man, good cook, historian and general goof, he loves spending time in his personal study. There, with an antique soda machine and a vast treasure of other items collected matching his personality, Bryce takes an unwanted case. Something that takes his law expertise out of the box, and into a completely different way of seeing things. Constantly reminded by the firms owner, that sometimes a win, might not be what we think it is. Bryce, being a hopeless romantic, quickly finds interest in his client, a woman his age, feelings she shares as well. Quickly love builds and adventures abound, but love is a dangerous drug. Eventually, the budding relationship uncovers some ugly lies and soon he finds himself making decisions about the direction of the case, and for his own life as well. Over two weeks, he works the trial, finds needed forgiveness, a new compass in life and a long haired beauty. One that fits him like a pea in a pod.
