I know I’m losing him. I know and I’m at my wit’s end. The holidays are nearly upon us and we’re going to the mainland to celebrate with Varg’s family. He’s faced with everything Svalbard can’t give him and I feel we’re more distant than ever. 

If I don’t do something big—and soon—I fear Varg will leave and go back to the life he enjoyed. It’s too big a gesture and maybe I’m too late, but I hope it’ll be enough.
