Nyx comes from a long line of hustlers and scammers. She decides on a normal life outside of boosting and turning tricks, even though her family turns their backs on her because of it. Later in life, Nyx is doing well for herself. She married a rich man, got her degree, and has a young daughter.

It seems as if all her dreams had come true, but when her husband disappears and is accused of fraud, Nyx finds herself in a world of corruption, scandals, secrets, and lies. Using the same skills she turned her back on to feed her daughter, Nyx must find the beast within and go from good girl to savage.
