Rhea ran away after she burned her step father. Then she got arrested for street racing after her sister died. Until her old handler 'Sands' shows up at her door telling her that Baulmer--owner of the streets she raced--is calling. To protect those she loves she has no choice but to answer.

One night after a fight with Baulmer she burns him. That's when she met Ryker who's been interested in her for a long time. Now more than ever. Ryker has a bad boy appeal that Rhea can't deny is ridiculously hot but romance with him isn't an option for more than one reason.
Realizing she needs to leave so Vince or anyone else she loves doesn't get caught in this too. She fights and Vince ends up touching her without getting burned. Her and Vince have a connection that she's had with no one else. He could be the one.
But he's not the only one who knows her secret and wants her. Ryker confronts her and she learns that she can touch him too.
