Kenyadah is a young man living in a society that tried to make life hard for him. But with his strong-minded ways, he digs himself out his hole and becomes self-made. After leaving his life of crime with his best friend, Davey, Kenyadah pursues a life as a rapper, but on his journey, he makes a promise to a woman he loved, and he was destined to keep it.
Amber Lee is a young girl from Los Angeles, California, that sometimes feels like she has the world on her shoulders. Amber comes from an abusive home with her mother. But through all the abuse, she keeps her head in the books and has her mind set on being a pediatrician and going off to college far away from home. But before leaving for college, Amber has some hardships, temporarily leaving her in the arms of Kenyadah after her final altercation with her mother.
Once she graduates from high school, she leaves Los Angeles for four years for school, leaving Kenyadah behind to go on tour and become a rapper. But Kenyadah promises to be all hers when she comes home from school in four years, and returns for her residency
