Seventeen-year-old China is spoiled, loved by her family, and overprotected. As her parents’ only living child, coming of age is hard to do with them breathing down her neck all the time. China can’t wait to graduate from high school and turn eighteen, so she can finally take control of her life. She loves her parents more than anything, but being their little girl is exhausting.

Jo-Jo is China’s best friend, and her parents’ hand-picked choice to be her future husband. Although Jo-Jo has been in love with China for years, her feelings aren’t as certain.
