Renegades: A Dystopian Romance Novel by Joanne Sexton
A story of war, love and freedom.

The year is 2086. Artinean is a city ravaged by war where the renegades battle for freedom and gangs fight on the streets.

The government control the citizens and the army. Those who oppose the government are forced to hide.

Freedom isn’t something you should earn; it’s your birthright but their government leader sees things differently.

Mackenzie is a citizen, a number in the system. The tyrannical government is ruthless, but the gang warfare is worse.
It’s a dog eat dog world and Mackenzie is more afraid of the thugs than her lack of free will.

When she is captured by a renegade, a whole new world opens her eyes and she discovers that her brother, a General of the Government Army Troops, has been lying to her for years.

Ryan is a renegade captain who thirsts for revenge against the troops that killed his family.

When he comes across Mackenzie, he takes her to their underground home. Ryan initially wants revenge but the more he comes to learn about his captive the harder it becomes to act on vengeance.

They both couldn’t anticipate what coming into each other’s lives would do and enemies fall in love. Although their romance is sweet, it’s also hot, steamy and strong.

Together they must fight to obtain the freedom they deserve. They must find a way to take down the corrupt government.

Will they be able to overturn the government, or will they be forced to fight for the rest of their lives?
