Project Wolf Pack: The Alpha by C.M. Herndon
Liz Bowen is an animal biologist with a medical degree which is what made her the perfect accessory for Project Wolf Pack, a secret government affiliation trying to utilize werewolves as soldiers. Her job is to monitor the wolf pack, but after three years on the job, their group feels more like a family and their alpha feels like home. Her work and Cam are everything to her, but when they are sent to Brazil for a special assignment, they come face to face with another werewolf pack, breaking several of the Project’s rules and regulations. Cam is forced to make the choice to start a pack war rather than disobey his country. His decision puts Liz in the line of fire as she is targeted for being the mate of an alpha and pursued by the other pack. As the war escalates and she is brutally attacked, they are left with a grievous choice, Cam must kill the other pack alpha and Liz must return home, but is she any safer out of Brazil or is she better off leaving Project Wolf Pack behind forever?
