The Duke's Christmas Gift: A Sweet Regency Romance by Kelly Anne Bruce
The Duke of Hester, Jackson Preston, did not enjoy the holidays and it had been quite some time since he had found joy and wonder in the Christmas season. But here he was, attending a ball he had been invited to by an old friend, Benjamin Waterton. The truth was that he was really there as a favour to his friend and to meet his sister, Lady Millie Waterton.

It was time for him to find a wife and he had no true desire to find a suitable match on his own. But he had no choice - the responsibility fell to him alone. Maybe a marriage of convenience was his best chance to get this task taken care of without effort and struggle on his part. The Waterton family was a fine family and his friend's father was the Earl of Caslingburgh making Millie an excellent candidate for marriage.

Millie Waterton was a lovely and vivacious young woman. She loved parties and her place in society was solid. Her dance card was always full and she loved that fact no end. When her brother introduced her to the Duke of Hester she was far from impressed. Sure he was most handsome, but he was quiet and seemed preoccupied. She certainly would never court a man with such a dim personality.

When she learns of her father's plan to arrange a marriage between her and the duke, she is horrified. She realizes she won't get out of this situation without running away and that option is out of the question. When the arrangements are set in stone, can these two learn to get along? Is it possible they could even learn to love each other? Will the Christmas season finally be magical for the duke again?
