To keep her little sister in line, Zena makes Clint Lita’s babysitter. At first, Lita struggles with Clint’s sense of humor and lack of filter, and the fact that he’s so vastly different from her and her friends. She hates his music, his truck and loud custom motorcycle, all his tattoos and how he doesn’t care what anyone thinks.
Her eighteenth birthday can’t get there fast enough – Lita and her boyfriend have plans to run away and get married, and no one will be able to stop them.
Clint can’t wait for Lita to get her shit together so she can go back home – the seventeen-year old is a colossal pain in his ass, with all her dark makeup and weirdness, and how he has to keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn’t do anything stupid.
Because she hates everyone, Lita doesn’t feel the need to impress anyone and accidentally becomes her true self – everyone falls in love with the real Lita, including Clint. And all the things Lita hated about Clint in the beginning are the exact things she falls for. . .that and the fact that she is genuine without judgment, like her boyfriend and most of her friends judged her back home.
