Vance learned at an early age that his last name and his birthright came with certain disadvantages. Sometimes having it all, made it impossible to know who to trust, but Kayla was different. Being with her made him feel different, and learning of her betrayal almost destroyed him.

Kayla loved Vance enough to ignore his family’s obvious dislike of her; their petty remarks and icy indifference. She loved him enough to uproot her entire life, and move hundreds of miles away so they could be together. She loved him with all her heart, and he threw that love away.

His family set out to destroy them, and that’s exactly what they did.

When Vance finally learns the depths of his own family’s deceit, he sets out to make things right with Kayla. After the long and lonely years without her, he will do anything to win her back, but he fears some words can never be forgiven, and some wounds can not be forgotten.
