A Mended Amish Heart by Amy Mast
Anna Fischer, a young widow from Bird-in-Hand, a small town in Lancaster County, knew that she had to make a living one way or the other. Her deceased Mann, who was much older, had passed away after committing suicide, leaving her with nothing. Their marriage of three years hadn't been a bed of roses, as somehow they had been coaxed into marriage. There was indeed no love lost between them, and she certainly didn't care for him in the way she had been taught a Fraa should. Now, fending for herself she needed to make ends meet, as she struggled to cope and finally decided that she was tired of depending on others. If anyone could make a difference to her lot, it would be her. She would rise above her troubles and make a success of her life.

Caleb Troyer had his hands full. A year ago, his brother and sister-in-law had died in a tragic buggy accident leaving behind their three-year-old twins Bethany and Jonah. With no other Familye, the responsibility of caring for them had fallen on his shoulders. But he found running a business and caring for two Kinner was getting increasingly hard. He knew he needed help, and the only solution was to hire a home carer. Things get off to a rocky start when he asks Anna Fischer to be his helper.

Both are still warring with their own grief, will they ever allow themselves to love?
