Hump Day (Love All Week)
by Denise Riley
Ketra sounded genuinely confused, and damn if Aaron wasn’t thinking the exact same thing. He wanted her with a fierce, urgent need that he didn’t really understand. He wanted to lick every inch of her supple body. Aaron wanted to touch, and suck, and bite, to drive her crazy with need. He wanted to take her body rapidly and repeatedly until she came apart in his arms.
He wanted to do nasty, sexy things, dirty, sweat-inducing things with Ketra Thoms.
What the what?
He grabbed handfuls of her soft hair and tugged hard. Ketra gasped in surprise, and she moved her hands to palm the sides of his face. The sound of their heavy breathing penetrated his lust-fogged brain, and Aaron forced himself to slow down. He loosed his hold on Ketra’s hair a bit. He truly intended to pull back and gain some reason and control.
“Ketra.” His tone was thick with need, but also censure. Because, what they heck were they doing?
“A bad idea.” He finished for her.
“I know. But…maybe just…”
She paused, waited for him; he knew. And he also knew that he should apologize and find his way from underneath her warm body and then make his way out of her home. But...
“Just this once,” he said.
“Yeah,” she said. “Just once.”
In the first installment of Love all Week…
Ketra Thoms has had a crush on Aaron Shepherd since she was a early-entry freshman in college. Back then, he was a super sexy, graduating upperclassman who paid her very little attention, unless it was to treat her like some wayward innocent that needed looking after. Not much changed over the years until major sparks begin to fly after he rescues her from a serious situation. Somehow, they end up on the benefits end of the friendship spectrum. It’s a steamy, lust-filled night that far surpasses Ketra’s fantasies. It was a good thing they’d decided on just one night; because, there was a word for Aaron. Addicting. And Ketra wanted zero parts of that. Besides, she’s from the piss-poor west side of town and he’s…a Shepherd – rich, confident, cultured, and sexy beyond belief. No matter how well she had done pulling herself up and out of the projects, men like Aaron didn’t end up with women like her. So what the heck is he doing, talking about “one more time”? And why in the world can’t she seem to turn him down?
See what happens when “just once” turns into “one more time”.
