Queen of Arts by Frances Pauli
Stella is the senior editor at the Arts Examiner, a cinnamon bear surrounded by her friends and respected by her coworkers. Until the powers that be announce a city-wide art contest, and the excitement drives the Examiner crew into a chaotic frenzy.

Between playing mother hen to her friends, working out what she's going to enter, and keeping up with her job at the paper, Stella has enough to juggle. So when a sexy polar bear starts sniffing around Stella's desk, she knows better than to take it seriously. She knows better than to trust her luck with males, and all the skeletons in her closet agree with her.

But no matter how loudly her history screams at her to run, Stella finds herself wanting to try again. She should know better, but this old bear is hoping she can learn a new trick. She's hoping, and that scares her even more than all the secrets in her past.
