All he'd wanted was a Sarsparilla...
He'd stepped in before the fast talking banker could seal his unholy bargain in the dark corner of the Saloon, saving the old drunk's daughter from a fate worse than death... But he'd never have dreamed Charity Brown was a full grown, beautiful, confident woman... A woman who made him ache for things he'd never believed could be his...
Bought and sold like a piece of cattle!
What was she to think when Riley Storm handed her father a wad of money, a contract and a quill, and told him to sign in the space on the bottom? What kind of person would do such a thing? And did he think she would actually just smile and go along with their little deal? She'd prayed to be saved from her impossible situation, but this... this was... wrong. Was he the next trial in this nightmare her life had become? Was his soul as twisted and ugly as his face, or could she trust this feeling that he was the answer to her prayers?

'Charity's Storm' is the second story in my Frontier Brides of Stormy Valley series. It is a fun, quick, clean journey into the struggles of love and life on the western frontier. The story takes place just a quick, few days ride from the folks of Rapid Falls introduced in 'Two Bits For Her King' (Book 1). (One of the original residents has migrated over to the far side of the mountain in the few years that have lapsed and has made quite a name for himself in Stormy Valley...His book is coming soon!) I hope you love reading 'Charity's Storm' as much as I enjoyed writing it! Happy Reading! ~ Rebecca
