Nineteen-year-old Deanna has one co-op placement left before she graduates her three-year college program and then it’s goodbye school, hello world! And what better way to coast through it, than to be the hostess at a cozy resort situated in the heart of Ontario’s cottage country, practically on the border of Algonquin Park.

However, Deanna doesn’t stay the hostess for long and before she knows it she’s doing a job she wasn’t hired for and being threatened almost daily that she’ll get fired if she doesn’t move faster.

Among the chaos and overwhelming frustration, she finds love and heartbreak, and tries to battle the seductive thought of suicide.

Will she make it through her final summer co-op?
