Young Australian doctor, Milton Rodriguez, has seen enough of war and the horrors that come with it. He volunteers to go and work deep in the Amazon jungle at the remote Santa Rosa Hospital and assist with a Health Program to help the Amazon’s Indigenous Indian tribes survive the onslaught of the 21st century’s relentless onslaught and decimation of their culture and very existence.
There, he meets the beautiful, feisty, confident and sexy Solange Pillar, a student nurse from Rio de Janeiro. They are immediately drawn to each other, but under the most unexpected and deadly circumstances.
Santa Rosa, located on the banks of Earth’s mightiest river, The Amazon; The Silver River, in the Tri-Border region of the Amazonas, where the borders of Colombia, Peru and Brazil converge. Doctor Rodriguez’ father was born and raised here in this remote and largely unexplored part of the world.
Danger is never far away: with the constant prevalence of Colombian cocaine cartels, corrupt politicians, illegal loggers and miners, and the everyday life and death challenges needed to survive in this part of the world.
Indeed death, drugs, and sex are easy to find and, so, will Milton and Solange’s love endure? Will they survive or will they succumb to the very evil forces they are here to challenge.
This is a story of love and survival on the Amazon. This is the story of Milton and Solange.
