After a chance encounter with a State Trooper who issues her a speeding ticket on the way to her sister’s wedding, Abigail Collins hopes never to come face to face with the handsome but arrogant officer again. But, in a strange turn of events, a week later the trooper becomes her patient at the physical therapy clinic where she works. Summoning all of her professionalism, Abigail decides to limit contact with her new patient and ignore him as much as possible. Soon, however, Abby finds she needs his help after a stalker begins leaving threatening notes on her car both at home and at work. Trooper Michael Amato, at loose ends while recuperating from a random gunshot wound, offers assistance to Abigail. At first, he hopes only to fill his long days while he waits to be cleared for duty. He soon finds, however, that Abigail’s safety is his only priority as his feelings for her intensify. But, does Abby feel the same? This novel is a sequel to the author's first novel, BY ACCIDENT, published in 2017.
