Laurie Meyers is a thirty-two year old amateur boxer who had quite the reputation in the fictional town of Opal Falls, California. He was a well-known athlete that was celebrated for his numerous wins in the boxing arena; this made him somewhat a celebrity figure in this small town. The privileges that came along with it includes an adoring fan base that made his dating life very easy. The mountain encased small town does not have many distractions for its residents besides boxing--and romance. During one of Laurie’s sulking sessions, an handsome gym employee, Matt Goodman, approaches him and changes his life. Their charming flirtations steadily develop into an intense and passionate love affair that remedies the bruised ego of Laurie. He finally sees his life turning around until Matt informs him of another man who is interested in him romantically. Little does Laurie Meyers know that his new lover is entangled with matters the disgruntled boxer cares to forget.
