Captain Samuel Jackson Takes a Bride: A Native American Historical Romance by Chey Wells
Captain Samuel Jackson was on the Iroquois Reservation to prevent the white settlers from attacking the Iroquois Indians trying to take their land. He had a company with him and he had to have a lot of meetings with the head of the Iroquois Confederation to be able to stay on the reservation. Chief Knoton finally gave his permission for them to stay at a clearing between the Iroquois village and the Tuscarora village. He forbids any of the soldiers except for Captain Jackson to come into the villages. Captain agreed to the terms. When he was in the Iroquois village he saw a young maiden that stole his heart.
He finds out that she is the daughter of the Chief of the Seneca village, so he had to speak with him about taking his daughter as his wife. She is staying with her aunt and uncle for a little while but when she goes home he takes her there to speak with her father.

Lulu is the daughter of the Chief of the Seneca village and sister to the head warrior. She has much eyes for this white Chief of the white war party and wants him as much as he wants her. She is afraid to tell her father that she wants to marry this white man knowing that the Indians do not like the white man. She goes home and brings Captain Jackson with her and his interpreter as well so that he can speak to her father. She has no idea if her father will let her marry the white man with yellow hair, but it never hurts to ask.
What will the mighty Chief say to his daughter and Captain Jackson?
