Jilly's Brilliant Caper by Charlotte Pemberton
Jilly Woodcock’s career selling fine art at a posh gallery is going gangbusters. She doesn’t have a boyfriend but she does go on lots of dates. And as president of the I-Chicks Book and Shoe Club, her social life is full. So what’s the problem?
She needs a raise to buy more designer shoes and get the trip to Paris she’s been dreaming about. The most attractive men are the very artists she vows not to date. And her father mysteriously walked away not long after she was born, never to be heard from again.
Things get really complicated when Jilly recognizes a stolen Vermeer in the private collection of a shady arms dealer. Her scheme to return the original to the Museum for a huge reward sets in motion a cascade of adventures as dangerous as they are hilarious.
The Vermeer caper leads Jilly to Paris, the City of Light, where all mysteries are laid bare.
