Jeli: ... her world of interior design leads to a journey of self-discovery by Mary Jane Forbes
For over eight years Jeli Bradley tried on the career choices of her three older siblings—nothing fit. Frustrated, she circles back to her innate talent—interior design—transforming empty space into a vibrant environment with color, texture, and conceptual development.

After earning her diploma, the challenge becomes to find clients… or at least the first client. She sends out twenty packets, a resume illustrating her special skill. The result: nineteen rejections and one person of interest.

Jeli is an ambitious risk taker, a flirtatious young woman. She accepts a trial job offer from the person of interest. The test: designing a condo for a man moving to Boston from China, a culture she knows nothing about. The job leads to new Chinese friends, two potential lovers, and a murder.

Can the burgeoning billion-dollar real estate market from foreign investors be a catalyst, a springboard to her career in interior design? Or, will the murder turn the tables on the fledgling designer?
