Truth, Love & Deceit by Vince Bardsley
Highly respected English teacher Marc Lincoln’s life is about to change. His seemingly well-ordered routine is impacted by two people, a colleague and a stranger.
Marc is given the opportunity to review a new novel, My Enemy, My Love, written by the noted author Eden McAndrew. When Marc’s scathing review is published nationally, he has no idea that author would threaten him personally. Soon Marc’s literary skills and curiosity lead him, with the help of several of his former students, to investigate Eden McAndrew’s world – a world of hate and murderous insanity.
Marc’s colleague, Penney Coyne, isn’t shy, but she, for personal reasons, has no social life. School activities require Marc and Penney to work together. Slowly, they mend each other’s hurts and build a joyful relationship.
Through his research, Marc becomes aware that McAndrew plans to retaliate for the negative review by killing Penney. Because of the extra-legal means, Marc used to investigate McAndrew, Marc must find a way to protect her without involving the police.
