I thought I’d be able to walk away from Gavin. That was the first lie I told myself. . .

On the outside I had an easy life. Wealth, freedom, and a great career.

It was an illusion.

I constructed perfect shells to hide behind, discarding them when they no longer served a purpose, all just so no one would ever know the real me. And then he entered my life.

Gavin Hawthorne was everything I pretended to be—intelligent, confident, and strong. Soon I wasn’t just his PA--I was also his lover. Our passionate relationship wasn’t supposed to be permanent and I definitely wasn’t supposed to fall in love with him.
