Anders is sent by the University of Alaska to determine whether an abandoned gold mine is still active. Thankful for the opportunity to escape a dying relationship, he packed up everything important to him and disappeared deep into the wilds of Alaska. The solitude and serenity are exactly what he needs right now.

Ujaruk has spent a lifetime overcoming societal prejudices and misperceptions about his Aleutian heritage. When his job as an archeologist sends him to work on an abandoned mine project, that would take him back to the home he’d left long ago, he realizes it’s time to make peace with his roots.

Thrown together by work, and proximity in the beauty and isolation of the Denali National Park, Anders and Ujaruk form an unexpected connection, but is it just a bond of convenience, or can it be more? When man and nature collide, will their new relationship stand the test?

Will they find gold? Will they find love? Will they both come out of this alive?
