Help a Buddy Out by Thomas Carver
Augie's got a pretty good life: a cool apartment in Isla Vista, good grades at school, and a solid group of friends. He spends his days surfing, his nights partying in paradise. But then his girlfriend leaves him, and he breaks both of his arms in a biking accident. Now, in full arm casts, he has to rely on his new roommate, Patrick, for help with ordinary, simple tasks, like opening doors and getting dressed. Patrick helps out mostly because he has nowhere else to stay. At least at first. But soon Patrick begins to enjoy serving as a helping hand to his hot roommate, especially when Augie's needs turn personal. But bones heal and casts come off, and when Augie will no longer need that helping hand, Patrick is afraid he'll just be chalked up as a college experiment.

This gay friends-to-lovers romance novella runs about 28,000 words and contains scenes of love between two men.
