Stranded With The Mountain Man (Part Two) by Paige North
I call him the Ice Man, because he is strong, and cold, and I’m afraid of what will happen if I ever touch him.

I was running away from something terrible. And I ran straight into a man who seems just as frightening as what I left behind.

It doesn’t even matter that he pulled me from a ravine and saved me from a frosty grave, because he barely said a word to me before or after. But he dragged me to safety, and for that I should be thankful.

I’m stuck now, snowed in, with this savage beast who lives alone on this deserted mountain in a tiny cabin. The only thing that shows he might have a heart beating in his giant, muscled chest is the dog he keeps around for companionship.

But am I crazy, or is this wild mountain man actually hot? Beneath his unruly beard are penetrating blue eyes, sharp cheekbones, and beautiful full lips. His body is ripped and chiseled from all of the time he spends working outdoors, fending for himself. Making this environment habitable all on his own.

And if I am going crazy up here on this frigid mountain with this half-mad, gorgeous lunatic, then maybe I’m not alone in feeling these emotions. Maybe when I catch him staring at me, at my body, and I see that hunger in his eyes—maybe it’s because we both feel it.

Eventually, this match is going to ignite, and I’m terrified of what will happen when our heat melts the Ice Man’s protective shield. What will I find beneath it all?

And will there be anything left of me when it’s over?
