White Owl: Native American Romance by Chey Wells
White Owl has had eyes for Black Fox for a long time. He has watched her grow from a child to a beautiful woman, but she was one of the mean girls in the village. He thought she was so beautiful on the outside but not in the inside. He catches her doing something the chief had told her not to do, and White Owl tells the chief and gets him to order her to be a slave for Nata. He wants Nata to make her a good girl so that he can marry her.
Black Fox has eyes for White Owl, but she tells him a lie and says she wants nothing to do with him thinking this will make him chase her around. He tells her if she does not want him, he will go to the Iroquois village and find a maiden that will be sweet for him.
Someone close to White Owl has a harsh talk with Black Fox and makes her realize that she is acting bad and it makes her want to be a better person for White Owl.
Will Black Fox change her ways? She has some bad things happen to her, and White Owl is afraid that she will be hurt and not be the sweet girl he wants her to be. Can she put these things behind her and be what White Owl wants her to be?
