The Widow's Mysterious Cowboy
Rowan Gracemill
Between taking in sewing and hiring her servants out so they all can survive, Karen also sells her jewelry and takes a job as a governess. Her three servants convert her home into a boarding establishment for young ladies.
Anxious about the future, Karen begins to sink into thoughts of worry and grief. She keeps a stiff upper lip and continues on as best she can, all the while trying to think of a way to improve her situation in life.
When her maid brings her a copy of The Matrimonial Times, a publication catering to western men looking for wives and to adventuresome young women, Karen makes it her business to find out more details.
After perusing The Matrimonial Times, she begins a correspondence with a cowboy. Feeling that her prayers have been answered, she decides to go to the west to be married in Texas. But will events unfold as she would have them? When she sees the uncanny resemblance, her betrothed has to her first husband, will her faith in God be strong enough to keep her in Texas to find true love?
