Unexpected Love For An Amish Daughter (Love in Amish Indiana Series) by Saraah Sowell
Parents often feel like they know what is best for their children. This is especially true for fathers, who want to protect their families and not feel like they cannot be the man of the house. However, when an unknown danger lurks in the woods outside an Amish home, it may just be up to someone else to save a whole family—whether the father of the home approves or not!

Can the love of a young Amish girl’s life prove his value to her family without intruding on the sacredness of her father’s rules and beliefs?

Jessica Miller knows that she has a problem on her hands. There is a threat in the woods surrounding her home, and her father is thoroughly convinced that he can handle the problem alone. Jessica, Jess to her friends, is not so sure that this is the case, and longs to seek outside help—at least permission to talk to community members. Her father is adamant; Jess must be prudent though.

Like most Amish daughters, Jess wants to make her father happy. After all, he’s the head of the household, but she worries for the safety of the family. What if her father is killed—how will anyone know that they need help? Jess knows that it’s time to be cautious and careful, but also time to get some much-needed aid from their friends in the community.

Another Mystery to Solve

For the Peterscheim brothers, it seems that there is always a problem to be solved, some mystery that only they can help with. When handsome David learns that Jess’ family is possibly in danger due to an unknown thief prowling the woods behind their home, he knows that this is his chance to help. He must capture the intruder and protect her family.

As they learn more about the situation, David discovers that their budding friendship may be blossoming into something unexpected. He cannot help the feelings he’s developing for the Amish beauty, but knows that her father didn’t want his help from the start—let alone offer his daughter’s hand in marriage. Now is his chance to prove his value to her father…if she shares his feelings of love.

Can David help get to the bottom of the thief on the Miller’s property—or will the intruder destroy his opportunity to gain the hand of the love of his life? Will her father’s demand that he stay away be the last time he sees his Amish beauty?

How will Jessica convince her father that they need help discovering the truth—or is he right that he can handle the issue without outside interference? Will her father’s domineering finally break their family relationship beyond repair?
