A Hater's Prayer by C. Marie Evans
Naomi Carmichael Nee’ Brooks was a Hater.

Well, a reformed hater, that is.
Destiny, her sister had been deemed by her church, family and all creation “the golden child,” so Naomi knows how it feels intimately and repeatedly to have someone steal her thunder. And now that she was about to be a divorced mother of three, struggling to make it on a state job, with an ex that was all about rubbing her nose in it, Naomi wouldn’t know what to do if God hadn’t given her what her and her bestie called, “the hater’s prayer”.
And now, with a podcast that was growing by the hundreds, Naomi was sure that life was on the upturn. But she should have known better.

Falsely accused of hurting her kids, her ex-husband coming after everything she’s got (which isn’t much) and her (not really) hated sister sexually assaulted at a club; all while Victavious “Vic” Carter, the boy next door, has suddenly decided she’s the one, can Naomi fully let go of her hater ways, trust God instead of herself, and give her old friend a chance to “shoot his shot?”

As a reformed hater, all by herself she doesn’t have a chance. But with her bestie at her back and crazy family at her side, Naomi knows one thing to be true: With God, all things are possible. And seeing Vic through new and enlightened eyes, that may just include falling in love again.
