The Farm: Complete Series by Stephanie L. Smith
Meeting Her Match
When Sydney Williams receives a call letting her know that her grandfather has passed away, she catches the first flight she can find from Los Angeles, California to Fairbury, Nebraska. Sydney soon realizes that her grandmother is in no shape to care for herself, and her uncle Rick has no time to spare to care for her, nor does he have the money to continue to keep the old family farmhouse up and running. Unable to bare the thought of her grandmother spending her final days in a nursing home, Sydney volunteers to stay and look after her and repair the house. Knowing that she's a city girl, Rick offers to send over one of his best employees from the mill to help her with the repair work around the house.

Kyle Matthews starts pushing Sydney's buttons the minute he walks through the door, and it doesn't take long before sparks are flying between the two. She finds herself torn between swooning over his chiseled frame and annoyed with his dominant attitude and old-fashioned way of dealing with things. When Sydney ventures out into a snow storm for work, she learns that Kyle won't tolerate someone he cares about putting themselves in that kind of danger.

Changing Her Ways
A budding romance, a never ending workload, a sick grandmother, and extensive restorations on the farm house are taking their toll on Sydney. When Kyle notices that she has been putting off sleeping and eating in an effort to juggle such a stressful schedule, he sets out to lighten her load, and make sure she starts taking care of herself. Sydney is used to being independent, and when he tries to hire someone to help with the care of her grandmother without consulting her first, she quickly loses control of her temper. Before she can pay the piper for her behavior, she receives a call that her grandmother has fallen ill, and she soon finds herself rushing to the hospital instead of over Kyle's lap.
A few weeks later, though life has returned to normal, Sydney finds herself weighed down with guilt for her behavior. After a wonderful night out with Kyle, she asks him about the punishment that got interrupted. When he informs her that all is forgiven, and he doesn't plan to punish her for her behavior, she finds it difficult to shake the guilt she's been carrying. As the days pass and the guilt continues to follow her, Sydney begins to think that a spanking may be the only way to clear her conscious.
Will she ask Kyle to give her the punishment she feel's she has earned, or will she try to bury the guilt on her own?

Coming Together
When Sydney tells Kyle she is in fact carrying his child, his protective nature goes into overdrive. While it drives her crazy sometimes, she also loves that he is so concerned about her and their child. With a baby on the way, Sydney knows she needs to take it easy, but that doesn't stop her from making more than one poor decision. It doesn't take her long to realize that Kyle will not tolerate her endangering herself or their unborn child. With his old-fashioned brand of discipline, Sydney finds herself with a sore bottom on more than one occasion.
