Out to Sea: Festival of Hues by R.W.K. Clark
It’s a few years into the future, and a chemical spill in the middle of the ocean has taken over the waters of Earth. The entire planet is dying off, but that doesn’t stop its inhabitants from turning it all into entertainment for themselves. Cruise ships take people to enjoy the beautiful, boiling colors, and it seems no one cares about the destruction before them.
Tripp Young hates that his parents take him on these trips, but this time around he finds a distraction: A beautiful girl named Heidi Collins. They watch as their fellow passengers enjoy the sight of the hue-filled pollution which has taken over the waters. While his parents, and the other passengers, indulge their sick preoccupation, he tries to make the best of his time on board. The young pair find true love, knowing that it will end as soon as they dock.
