Stay With Me
Best friends Kyle and Jason have been nearly inseparable since birth. As they’ve grown, so has their attraction to each other, yet their relationship has remained platonic. Kyle suspects it’s because he stupidly agreed to a pact Jason proposed years ago, that they would never risk destroying their friendship by hooking up. They’re older now, though. More mature. Kyle wants to forget the pact. He’s just not sure how to convince Jason that a bond as deep as theirs will only strengthen with time. (3,900 words)

Hold Me Close
Finn hates Halloween. He’s associated the day with fear and pain ever since he was twelve and he broke his ankle running from a haunted house. So he normally avoids the holiday’s events, especially the scary ones. This year, though, he let his best friend, Ryan, peer pressure him into going through the haunted house set up by his fraternity. It’s for a good cause, to raise money for a little girl with cancer. Still, Finn’s anxiety is off the charts. Until Ryan comforts him during the frightening experience, and Finn realizes there just might be some perks to being spooked. (3,800 words)

Something Good
When Andrew’s roommate, Sean, admits to feeling attraction to a guy for the first time, namely to Andrew, Andrew agrees to let Sean experiment with him. Andrew figures it will be a good way to work his own desire for Sean out of his system. His plan backfires, though. As time goes on, Andrew finds the opposite is happening. Instead, he’s falling for Sean. Now he wants more, a real relationship, one in which they are exclusive boyfriends. Will Sean want that, too, though? (3,700 words)
