Hero by Erica Chilson
Hero

The long-anticipated novel in the Mistress & Master of Restraint series. The sole reason eleven novels were taken off-sale, only to endure a four-year journey to rewrite the entire series from scratch, creating a solid foundation to support the 1000-page tome.

In a city filled with hedonists, they need a Hero– Dominion, New York needs two.

Katya Waters and Caleb Green learn two facts: Not all heroes wear capes, and evil lurks within your nearest and dearest.

Caleb Green returns to Dominion after seventeen years in the military, only to realize he was safer in a warzone than in his hometown. All he’s ever wanted was to settle down with the fiery redhead from his vision, only to discover she’s not only already married to his childhood friend, but in serious danger from all directions. Taking on the role of protector, Caleb tries to keep the nexus safe from the storm itself.

Katya Waters wasn’t raised in Dominion, but soon she discovers her ties run deeper than those who saw her as an interloper. Enemies are hidden beneath the guise of friend and family, while frenemies turn into the strongest allies. Discarded and broken, Katya tries to reform herself into the person she was always destined to become. The editor finds it hilariously ironic how she ends up starring in a real-life version of The Bodyguard, when everyone in Dominion felt she wasn’t important enough to treat with dignity or respect.

After waiting five years, readers demand answers, and Erica Chilson delivers more than they could possibly imagine.
