Dating Mr. Baseball Collection: Four Baseball Romances by Lucy McConnell
For these athletes, winning the game is the easy part of life; the hard part is falling in love.

Delay of Game
Physical therapist Elise Smith lands her dream job with the St. George Redrocks. She loves baseball and knows each player on sight before her first day of work.

The more she learns about Blake the harder it is to stick to the “no dating” rule. Can she walk away from the career she’s always dreamed of to have the man of her dreams or will the rule be a permanent delay of game?

Caught Looking
Because she knows what it’s like to be homeless, Clover Maes does all she can for the homeless community in St. George. When she spots a man in dirty clothes, with a beard down to his chest, she decides to help. Drawn in by his silent strength and clear eyes, she offers him an essentials bag and tells him there are people who care and want to help him get back on his feet.

Dustin Colt, shortstop for the St. George Redrocks Baseball Team, was in bad shape on the field. Apparently he was in such bad shape that he looked like a homeless man. With the embarrassment of Clover’s insinuation heavy on his mind, he argues with the do-gooder and then plays his best game of the season. Thinking he’s found the key to hitting doubles, Dustin goes out of his way to argue with Clover every chance he gets.

The more Clover learns about baseball, the harder she falls for the game, for the short stop, and for the Redrocks.

Intentional Walk

Tilly wasn’t looking for love. Love found her on a rocky outcrop one afternoon and it sank roots deep into her soul. Brayden may have broken her heart, but she’s made of cliffs and mountains and desert wind. She’ll weather through with the help of her friends, a matchmaking team owner, and prayer.
As these two try to separate their lives, they’re drawn together over and over again as if their love is written in the stars they spent so many lazy nights gazing at as they planned their future family.
A fiery kiss from Tilly awakens Brayden from his post-injury fog and the first thing he wants to fix the biggest mistake of his life: intentionally walking Tilly. He’ll go to great lengths to get her back, even if it means letting go of baseball and the dream he’s carried for a lifetime.

Heavy Hitter
Sheila Weaver, community outreach specialist for the St. George Redrocks, is the person the players groan when they see coming. She gets it—she’s the one who schedules their public appearances and chips away at their limited free time. But, she’s got a plan to involve the whole community in selecting the team’s mascot and the drive to make it happen despite her older sister’s insistence that she could have done better in life.

Brock Mattock, center fielder for the Redrocks, has fallen for the wrong woman before—several times. With a bruised heart, he accepts a dinner invitation from Sheila’s sister, Kelly, only to discover that she’s not at all like the dynamic woman he’s admired from afar. Sure that he knows which sister he truly wants, he has to convince Sheila that he’s not playing games.

Even though she’s attracted to Brock, and impressed with the type of man he is on and off the field, Sheila has no intention of moving in on her sister’s guy. But Brock is patient and sweet and volunteers to help with her off-season project, slowly chipping away at her defenses.
