I hate the lies you tell.
For as long as I could remember, everything in my world had been fake. Literally everything. I’d had it with it all: the lies, the pretense, the show. But I was stuck on a dizzying merry-go-round of deceit, and I couldn’t get off. So when she came into my life, I thought I’d hit the jackpot with something and someone more real than anything I’d ever experienced. That is until I discovered she was the biggest faker of them all. I hated her for it, and I wanted to make her pay.

I hated the lies and the pretense, but if someone like me was going to get where I wanted to be in life, it was a necessary evil. Truth was, I’d kind of made peace with the idea. It was a means to an end, and it wasn’t forever. Everybody had to do what they had to do, right? I could live with that. Kinda. Sorta. Maybe. At least I could until he came into my life, and seemed determined to tear down everything I’d worked so hard to build
