Fire Spirit by Linda Walker
Fire Spirit is the 3rd book of my Blackfoot Confederation Next Generation Series. As always, this is a clean fiction book. It does have actual facts about our Native American brothers and sister scattered throughout the book.

Fire Spirit was the fourth warrior in the Southern Piegan Blackfoot village. His best friend, Blackbird, had asked Fire Spirit to accompany him north into Canada on a quest to find Blackbird’s grandmother’s brother. The small group of warriors went to the Siksika village near the town where this brother was supposed to be living. While there, Blackbird met the love of his life and joined with her.
Now Fire Spirit felt totally alone. Blackbird was the last of his close friends to join. Fire Spirit met a beautiful maiden while he was in the Siksika village, and for some reason, he could not get her out of his head. Blackbird had told him about a young maiden that had much eyes for Fire Spirit, and he thought of talking to her mother about a bride price. But when he thought to go to her tipi, something always stopped him, and he thought about the young maiden in the Siksika village instead.
Fire Spirit was asked to escort Sara’s brother back to Canada after Matt had a short visit with his sister. Fire Spirit decided to go see My Heart Sings in the Siksika village and ask her to join with him.
However, things in life are never as easy as they seem. When he arrived at the village, he finds the Iron Confederation has attacked the village and taken many women captive. One of which is the woman he fell in love with.
What happens next is frightening and heart-wrenching. All they want is to live a good life and have a family, but will the trickster allow them to? Read the story of Fire Spirit and find out all the trouble that comes to this couple and how they handle it.
