Slow Burn by Christine L'Amour
Joanne Parker has never lived anywhere but her parents’ house. One day she just can’t bear it anymore and leaving is her only option. Now a country away and refusing to contact anyone from her old life, she is open to a new, freer life, and a new, freer self.

Bea Harrington is a boring woman with a boring life. That’s how she likes it. However, she likes taking salsa lessons. She finds her lessons a good excuse of getting out the house. The only places she really goes are her couch and the small clinic she works at.

At the dance studio, Bea meets Joanne. She feels strangely drawn to Bea, the bright-eyed young woman who joins the classes not long after she had. Bea can’t quite tell why Joanne feels so drawn to her.

With a world of unknown feelings ahead of them and the real world coming to knock on their doors, will these two figure out how to be true to themselves, and how to keep each other? Will their romance be a slow burn? Or will it quickly fizzle out.
