The Amish Quilt Maker's Daughter by Hannah Schrock
Rebecca’s whole life is mapped out; the problem is that it’s a path she doesn’t want to follow.

As the eldest of two daughters, Rebecca is about to be baptized. Her mother is overjoyed at the thought of her daughter starting her adult life and in her eagerness, even plans a love match. Rebecca isn’t ready for all that is expected of her to be baptized and lead the simple life. Fear starts to overshadow the excitement of what life may bring.

On the morning of her baptism, Rebecca realizes that the Englisch world is beckoning to her and she’s stuck on the inside not being able to look out. She sneaks out of her childhood home and runs away, not wanting to live the life her mother has planned for her.

When Rebecca returns three years later, her family has moved on. Her sister Katie makes no secret of her discontent at her sister’s return. As Rebecca tries to mend broken relationships and renew her faith, she begins to realize that the plans her mother had mapped out were right for her all along.

Can Rebecca find happiness in Lancaster County after being away for so long? The Amish Quilt Maker's Daughter will renew your faith and restore your belief that true love does exist, even when we’re not ready to accept it.
